Privacy policy

2. What data we process
We process the data you give us voluntarily through the contact form or through direct contact channels (phone, WhatsApp, email):
- Identification and contact data: name, phone number, email address.
- Information about your enquiry: type of application (visa, residence, family reunification…), number of people to be insured and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- If you move towards taking out a policy, the documents needed to issue the health insurance (for example, your passport).
You are not obliged to give us your data, but without it we cannot deal with your enquiry.
3. Purpose of the processing
- To deal with your request for information and answer your questions.
- To advise you on the health insurance that suits your application and to take the pre-contractual steps you request.
- To arrange, where applicable, the health insurance policy with the insurance company.
- To stay in contact during and after the policy is taken out (renewals, reminders).
- To send you commercial communications about the products and services offered by DKV, only if you have authorised this by ticking the consent box on the form.
No automated decisions are taken and no profiling is carried out.
4. Legal basis
The legal basis for the processing is your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) when you send us your enquiry, and the taking of pre-contractual steps at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR). If a health insurance policy is taken out, also performance of the contract and compliance with the legal obligations of insurance activity.
Sending commercial communications is based solely on your express consent (form checkbox, art. 21 LSSI-CE), which you may withdraw at any time by writing to marta.diez@segurosdkv.es or through the mechanism indicated in each communication.
5. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as the relationship lasts and while we are dealing with your enquiry. After that, it will be kept blocked for the periods required by law (insurance, tax and data protection legislation) and deleted once those periods have elapsed.
When you submit the form, your request is recorded on the server hosting this website, in a file that is not accessible from the internet, and is also sent by email to the data controller. That record is kept in line with the periods set out above.
6. Recipients
- DKV Seguros, the insurance company, in order to issue and manage the health insurance policy.
- 1&1 IONOS España, S.L.U., as the web hosting and email provider (servers located in the European Union).
- Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, as the provider of the Gmail email service, which is the account where the data controller receives the notifications of requests sent through the form.
- THE MÖNKY LAB, as data processor for the development and technical maintenance of this website. Its access is limited to what is necessary to provide that service and it does not receive a copy of the requests.
- Public authorities where there is a legal obligation.
Data is not passed to any other third parties for commercial purposes.
7. International transfers
This site loads its web fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA): when you visit the site, your IP address is communicated to Google in order to serve the fonts.
Notifications of requests received through the form are delivered to a Gmail account (Google), which is the mailbox where the data controller handles them. This may involve your data being processed on servers located outside the European Economic Area. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission considers to provide an adequate level of protection.
If you contact us via WhatsApp, the processing is additionally governed by the WhatsApp/Meta privacy policy. No other international transfers take place.
8. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to marta.diez@segurosdkv.es with the subject line "Data protection", attaching a copy of an identity document if necessary.
If you believe the processing does not comply with the legislation, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es, C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid).
9. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure and prevent its loss, alteration or unauthorised access, taking into account the state of the art and the nature of the data processed.

This site uses no cookies of its own or from third parties, and no analytics or advertising tools. More in the cookie policy.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in legislation or in the site. The version in force will always be the one published on this page.
